Warwickshire Family Portrait: Healey Family
Categories: Family Portraits, portrait photography, Warwickshire
Over course of 2012 I ran a couple of competitions in partnership with some of the county magazines. It was a ‘locations’ competition, where people sent in a photograph of their favourite county locations and a brief explanation of why they loved it.
Warwickshire Life was one of the magazines where this was featured, and we had some great entries. The one that caught my eye was a shot from Warwick – a scene of the river as it flowed near the town. It was taken by Liz Healey, and her prize was a family photoshoot at that location. Liz was a font of all knowledge on Warwick as she worked for the Tourist Information service. We met up on the bridge where she took the shot, and wandered around St Nicolas Park. From there she suggested we walked down Mill Street to some beautiful and excluded gardens – The Mill Garden, overlooked by the Castle. It really was a tranquil setting, and well worth a look on a warm sunny day – I am very grateful to them for allowing us to use the gardens for a short time.
So, here are some shots from the day…
