What did you or are you considering when choosing a particular date for your wedding day?
In a recent survey conducted by James Crockford Photography, it was revealed that the most popular month for 2011 brides to be is June with July and September following closely behind. Whilst this news isn’t surprising, the 3rd most popular month on the calendar is April with reasons for choosing the spring month over any other based mostly on the unseasonably warm weather that has happened over the last few years.
Another blow for those with a soft-centre out there is that February is right at the bottom of the survey results with absolutely no-one choosing to get married in the month dedicated to the greatest lover of all, St Valentine.
Reasons for choosing particular dates for a wedding varied in our results from availability issues and working around sporting events to matching the date to a birthday celebration or historic event to make anniversaries easier to remember. Sadly for the hopeless romantics amongst us, other reasons were even more practical including the ‘beginning of a new tax year’.
We’d love to hear what date you chose and why, especially if it will warm our hearts and make us go a bit gooey inside and remember whatever time of year you decide on, if it rains (and it probably might in the UK) just embrace it – you and your wedding guests will still have a fantastically memorable day.
