Cornick Shoot Viewing
Although I take the photographs, the business would not function without Kat (she was up until 3 last night sorting the accounts for example), but she also often does the client viewings.
Last night (before the accounts) she went over to show the Cornick family their photographs from their shoot a few weeks ago. The shoot just managed to coincide with my favourite time of year – autumn. It is such a lovely time for photographs – nice warm light and deep colours in the trees and on the ground with the turning leaves. It is also perfect timing for using the images as Christmas presents or on christmas cards. For this shoot we headed to Canon Hill Park, just around the corner from where they live which was ideal.
Paul and Claire have twin boys, Alex and Jacob who are only a few weeks younger than my oldest Josh, and they are lovely boys. It is fascinating with twins to see how they develop into individuals – we had an interesting situation with one who was walking, and the other who hadn’t quite got there and was still crawling. Luckily we had Grandad there with his amusing belly antics to entertain (he would make a great prop on all my shoots actually), as well as Paul’s niece (who the boys clearly love) and we had great fun around the park and on the swings.
On days like this I like to get a mixture of unposed and informally posed photographs of everyone, and this is a feel of how it all went…
