Fash's Family Portraits
I have recently had the pleasure to get to know Fash and his family. Fash and his wife are both dentists, and run the beautiful Highfield Clinic just on the Hagley Road, which specialises not only in high quality dentistry, but in overall health and wellbeing. It is a real boutique clinic.
Fash asked me to take some portraits of his family, particularly his daughter, as they had not had any photographs taken for quite a while. When I looked at the last portraits they had done I recognised the work of my good friend Bruce Thomas immediately (a fantastic portrait photograher, now in the south of France). Using their garden as the perfect backdrop, I wanted to get a mixture of individual shots, as well as the whole family together, and it soon became clear that the dog also needed to get involved (and I was able to make good use of the boy’s cricket bowling skills to get the dog running around – my personal favourite photo of the dog is below…).
The thing I love about portraits is really getting to know what people are like, and trying to get that over in the photos – I never like to rush sessions for that reason, and it was great to get to know Fash’s family, and I’m looking forward to showing them all the images this weekend.
Here is a flavour of what I captured:
