I was asked by Julie and Shail to photograph their double wedding celebrations – first a civil ceremony at the beautiful Coombe Abbey, and then their Indian ceremony at Chesford Grange. It was an early start – over to Julie’s by 6am for hair and makeup and into her first dress – a beautiful dress with a vintage feel to it. A lot of the family had stayed over the night before so all the bridesmaids were there too, as well as aunties and uncles etc. It was an early start to make sure everyone was ready for the first ceremony at Coombe Abbey at 10. Julies father had arranged a horse drawn carriage to take her the final part of the journey down the drive at Coombe, which was fantastic.
The civil ceremony was followed by drinks on the terrace, which had to be abandoned due to the rain, but at least we got some time out there, and from Coombe we headed back to Chesford for Julie to change into her Indian dress – which was stunning – and some more bling. After Shail was greeted by Julies relatives he headed to the Mandap to await the arrival of Julie and the Indian ceremony.
It was a fantastic day at two great venues, loads of lovely welcoming family, and a fantastic couple. Congratulations Julie and Shail and thank you for letting me share your big day with you.
