Prom World UK Shoot
Last weekend I had a fantastic shoot – definitely one of my all time favourites. Last year I was invited by Debbie to the opening of Wedding World and Prom World in Barnt Green. While I was there I met her daughter, Christina, who was modelling one of the prom dresses. I have been developing an idea of prom shoots with a difference for a while, and here was a perfect opportunity – a dress shop owner with the perfect model.
Christina hadn’t done anything like this before, but quickly understood what I was hoping to achieve, so we piled six dresses and an armchair into our cars and headed out for a day’s shoot.
And it was such good fun. Christina was natural and a joy to work with, and although we were in some odd places for someone in a prom dress, she never let it stop her getting into the swing of it. And she looked stunning at the same time of course. Meanwhile Debbie was always on hand with yet more beautiful prom dresses, so we had a great variety of outfits and accessories.
I had a few ideas about where to go during the day, but basically we looked at the dresses and found locations that worked well for them, so we eneded up in places I would never have expected…
I must say a massive thank you to Debbie for the dresses, but particularly Christina for being such a brilliant model for the day.
Definitely one of my all time favourite shoots. We got so many fantastic images from the day I was struggling to chose my favourites, but here is a flavour of what I got…
