Birmingham LINk Event
Yesterday I was asked to photograph the launch event of Birmingham LINk held at Aston Villa. Birmingham LINk is a local involvement network to involve local people in health and social care across the city, and the launch event was attended by over 200 people.
I had been asked to shoot the event by Mo Harford, who had been brought in to coordinate the event, and she did a fantastic job. It was compered by Rachel New (Heart FM – Ed & Rachel in the morning), there were a wide range of speakers, including Cllr Paul Tilsley, the Deputy Leader of Birmingham City Council, the room looked fantastic with three large projector screens so everyone could see properly, an electronic voting system and an interactive performance to involve the audience, and the timing was impeccable. Mo would definitely be at the top of my list if I needed an event coordinator…
It was also a good chance to see Martin Head from Big Umbrella Media in action – Martin was filming the event, and hopefully getting some BBC exposure. Was great to work with him – even if he had claimed the best spot…
A couple of images from the day….
