Aston Wedding Fayre
Kat and I spent a great day today at the Lakeside Wedding Fayre at the Aston University. We checked Josh into a childminder for the day and packed up our photos, DVD slideshow and sample albums to head onto the Aston campus. It was their first wedding fayre and they had joined up with BRMB to promote it.
It was good to chat to so many brides and grooms in one place. There was an interesting mix of people there – many of them had dates booked, but some were right at the begining of the wedding process. There were even people there with some of the most original ideas for a wedding I have heard for quite a while!
I always find wedding fayres a great chance to meet other people working in the same industry – we spent the day next to Memories Forever and their irrisistable chocolate fountain, but also met The Big Day Company, who were lovely, and some of the most spectacular cakes made by Sarah Edwards Cakes. We also bumped into Steve Gerrard – a fantastic Birmingham based photographer, who was promoting his wedding blog – Bridal Soup.
A great day, with some really lovely people to follow up with about their wedding days.
